Discussion:

Old Business:

Metric Century: Bob Blong stated that the brochures would cost $262.00 for 2500 tri-fold.  Miles made a motion to approve expenditure, followed by Linda McCoy.  Motion approved.  There will be carpet on the temporary bridge at the dam, with a member on each end of the bridge to inform and assist the riders.  It was suggested that the riders walk their bikes across the bridge.  On Monday April 22, we will get the brochures ready for mailing.  We will meet here at the church at 7:30 p.m.  Alex Blong made a motion to reserve the pavilion below the dam at a cost of $25.00, followed by Janet Betzner, approved.  All sponsors have been contacted.

Rail Trail: The group from Purdue will give their presentation on Wednesday April 24, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.  It will be a very informative meeting, and it would be nice to have several bike club members present.

Bike Month: May 13-17 is ride your bike to work week.  Miles made a motion to spend $50.00 on prizes for this promotion, followed by Jane Mannies, and approved.  Janet Betzner said that Breakaway will donate 3-$25.00 gift certificates for the $50.00 we agreed to spend, this was approved.

Bike Rodeo: Chris will send members e-mail with information.  Any help will be appreciated.  It will be held Saturday May 18.

Xenia Trail Ride: No Discussion

Membership renewal: No new members or renewals

Website report: We still have nobody to maintain our web site.  Club rides should be submitted to secretary Jane Mannies via e-mail.

Ride schedule: George stated that he would like to ride at 9:00 on Saturday, everyone agreed.  If you would like to ride the “animal ride”, they will meet ½ hour before the scheduled ride on Saturday.  Everyone present felt that the weeknight rides should be included in the club miles if 2 or more members are present.  We will discuss this at next month’s meeting.

New Business: No new business

Adjournment: Rich Holler made a motion to adjourn, with Jane Mannies following.
