Discussion:
Old Business:
Metric
Century:
Bob Blong reported that we
have the ok from Peru High School to use the lot again this year.
He also stated that he would get with Mike Kuepper on advertisements in
Bike Midwest (1/8 page ad). He also
stated that the ad to IBC has been sent.
Rail
Trail:
The survey has been
done at Birmingham for the $7,500.00 grant from Indiana Power and Light.
The
bridge over Crazy Creek (named Christmas Bridge by Richard Vonegut) is done.
A few more hours are
needed for trail cleanup in Denver.
There has been trouble
with ATV’s on the trail (from Peru to Denver), a landowner shot at a tire on
an ATV. Richard said, “ we will
watch this situation and area, and we are working on ways to block ATV’s from
using the trail.”
If anyone wants to hike
the trail, call Bill Click or Mike Kuepper to get permission slip.
The next trail meeting is
January 30th at Bunker Hill at 7:00 p.m.
Also look for the link on
the Indiana Trail Fund site.
Look for pictures of the
bridge over Crazy Creek on this site.
Bill Click will send
pictures of the bridge to the Peru Tribune.
Membership

No new members.
Bill said about ½ of the
renewals have been received.
Website
Report:
Mike Kuepper is trying to
talk Dave Sutton into joining the bike club and managing the web site.
New
business:
Bill Click brought up the
idea of a club ride in Xenia, Ohio on the trail. He said he would put it in the newsletter and ask for
feedback. July
would be a good month for this ride. We
will discuss this at a later time, after the newsletter is sent.
Bill Click brought up for discussion the weekly ride schedule.
It was discussed that we drop the weeknight scheduled ride as far as set
rides, instead designate a time and place to meet.
Whoever shows up can ride together.
It was suggested that Miami’s Fort would be a good meeting place for
this. Bill will put this in the newsletter and we will discuss this
at next month’s meeting. Saturday
and Sunday rides will stay the same.
Adjournment:
Mike Kuepper made a motion to adjourn, with Ernie Strawn following.
