Discussion:

Metric Century Report:  Bob Blong reported; the sags are good to go, #1-Pipe Creek, #2-Bunker Hill, #3- Red Bridge, #4- West side of dam.  The t-shirts will cost $6.20 per shirt and will be ordered this Friday the 14th.  They are dark gray with blue print for the riders and dark green with khaki print for the workers. The Harvey Hinklemyer logo will be on the sleeve of the shirt, and the following sponsors are on the back—Bill Monroe Festival, CVS Pharmacy, NAPA, Arnie’s Ace Hardware, 1st Farmers Bank, and Cole Bros. Water (if we get a firm commitment for water from them).

Bill Click made a motion to approve expenditure for the shirts, second by Alex Blong, motion approved.  All pre-registered riders will receive a free shirt, and on the day of the ride the first non-registered riders will receive a shirt while supplies last.

We will put the packets together like last year, and we will do this at Bill Click’s house on Tuesday the 25th at 6:30 p.m.

We will have a door prize for the riders that sign in after the ride.  Bob will get a $25.00 gift certificate from Breakaway for this.  He also said he needs to buy fruit and ice.  Bill made a motion to allow Bob to buy what is necessary for the ride, Jane Mannies second, all approved.

Jane Mannies will take care of setting the up the post race sign in, and will make signs for the sign in tent.

Alex Blong reported that they rode on the bridge at the dam that we were going to carpet for the race and said that it would be more dangerous to the riders to carpet the bridge than to leave it as is.  It was also mentioned that it might be a liability for the club if we alter the bridge for the race. We all decided that we would not have the bridge carpeted.  Bill Click will call Mike Kuepper on this.

Bob reported that he has most of the volunteers contacted.

Nickel Plate Trail: Jane Mannies brought in meeting minutes from the May meeting for anyone interested to read.  Bill Click stated that they had a clean-up day in Denver on Saturday June 8th.  Those helping were:  Bill Click, Avis Glassburn, Mike Christensen, and Rick Holler.

Member Renewal: No new members or renewals.

Xenia Ride: Bill contacted D. Cox at the Holiday Inn and she said she would get back with him to confirm detail on the accommodations. Bill said he would e-mail all members when he receives the information.

Web site: Bill stated he received an e-mail from Bren Kenny about the website.  Bren said that he has updated only the information about the Metric Century.

Bill discussed Linda McCoy’s charity ride in Vermont.  She rode for Focus on the Family and was asking for donations.  Jane Mannies made a motion to donate $25.00 to this, second by Bill Click and approved by all.

Bob Blong reported some club miles;  May 11 --  33 miles-Bob Blong and Jeff Laycock.  May 18--  26 miles—Bob Blong and Jeff Laycock, June 1- 43 miles for Bob Blong and Jeff Laycock and 10 miles for Alex Blong.

Jane stated that she has only received two notifications by e-mail reporting club miles.

Bill stated that he has not been able to get a newsletter out to members.  Jane Mannies asked if he could just forward the minutes to the members when she e-mails them to him.  Everyone agreed that this would be fine.  Bill asked if Jane would like to send copies to those members who don’t have e-mail.  She said this would be fine, and Bill gave her club stamps to mail them.

Meeting adjourned.
