Discussion:
Metric Century Report: Miles stated that Bob Blong would not be co-coordinator in 2003. Chris Betzner volunteered to take this job if members would help out by working on specific assignments. Chris will work on a list of assignments with the help of Miles and Bob. Nickel Plate Trail Report: Mike Kuepper reported that the brochure turned out great and was handed out at Heritage Days. There are over 1100 names on the petition now. Dozing in Denver will be done later this fall by a local farmer. A trail design firm has recently made a quick survey of our proposed trail. Be watching for some positive results from their study!!! Membership Renewals & New Member Report: Helen and Butch Yike from Logansport are potential new members, They rode on the Heritage Day Ride and attended the Club picnic. Lengthy discussion was held on how to increase club membership and how to keep members active. Miles made the motion to waive the membership fee for anyone registering from now through December 31, 2002. It was noted that there is low attendance at monthly meetings and the club planned rides are not well attended, if at all. We need to focus on recruiting new, young cyclists, and include family functions. Chris suggested a questionnaire be sent to members asking for suggestions and ideas. Bill said he would send something out. Web Site Report: Mike Donaldson reported he needed to talk to Dave Sutton about some questions before he could continue. Members are to send any ideas to Mike. Other Business: The motion was made by Chris and seconded by Mike to give out the leftover Door prizes from the Club picnic at the December meeting. Motion was carried. Mike Kuepper would like to schedule a club sponsored ski trip if there is enough interest. Bill Click, President, adjourned meeting
