Metric
Century Report: (Chris
Betzner) Smith Office Plus will be a sponsor again this year.
They will be copying our color maps for the ride.
We have been guaranteed access to the Mississinewa
Dam area no mater the level of terrorist alert. So all SAGS will remain as they were last year, with an
addition of “water only station” between SAG #3 and #4.
The “long route” que sheet has been incorrect
for the last few years with the mileage being slightly off throughout the entire
sheet. Janet Betzner will edit this
sheet for this year’s ride.
We will set up a day in about (2) weeks to get
rider’s packets ready.

Bill will be marking the route this year. He is looking for some to be his driver while the route is
marked. The day which are available
to do this are June the 24th, 25th, or 27th, if
you would like to drive contact Bill.
(Dick
Schaffhausen) We will plan to order on or about June the 9th. We will be ordering (150) shirts, of which (20) will be for
ride workers.
Nickel
Plate Trail, Inc. Report: (Bill
Click) Work continues at Wallick Road and in the Denver area. The next meeting will be June the 25th at Bunkerhill.
Membership
Renewals & New Member Report: (0) - NEW MEMBERS; (1) – RENEWAL: Wally Woodhams. Currently the club is about 72% renewed based on last year’s membership
numbers. There are (8) memberships
from last year yet to renew this year.
Special
Rides:
(Miles Straley) Miles was unable to be at the meeting. Here is the information as of or last meeting.
They are as follows:
July 19th – Ride Across Indiana
The
route for the Ride Across Indiana will be on SR 16.
The ride would be approximately 162 miles.
Time and place to meet is yet to be determined.
Bike
Rodeo:
(Chris Betzner) The bike instruction classes went very well this year. There were (250) helmets purchased this year, with (165) helmets being
given out to children.
Thursday
Ride: (Chris
Betzner) Our Thursday ride will be adjusted slightly. The ride will be moved to 5:00PM and meeting at the First Christian
Church. We are looking for those
who are interested in leading or riding at 6:00PM from Miami’s Fort.
Dog
Problems:
(Bill Click) Bill will be working with local officials on an article for the
Peru Tribune. The articles purpose
is to bring to light the responsibilities of dog owners.
