1. Breakaway Bike Club newsletter Discussion: Old
Business: Metric
Century Report: (Chris Betzner) The IBC offers a mailing list of (134)
addresses that would include Bike shops and tourism location where we could mail
brochures. Will investigate further. Coles
will supply (13) cases of water as well as the Breakaway Bike shop supplying
(13) cases. It
is anticipated that the club would need to spend $300.00 to $400.00 for food
items. This would be similar to what was done last year. We
will need to check with Smith Office Plus about color coping our que sheets. (Bill Click) We will setup near the store in Peoria to take the place of the SAG at the Mississinewa Dam. This is because we are unsure rather the Dam area will be open during the ride. Bill has rode the route and everything is in order. The county has told us that any chipping and sealing this year will be after the Metric. (Dick
Schaffhausen) The design for the shirts has been set. The shirts will cost
~$6.80 - $7.00 each. We will plan to order on or about June the 9th. Nickel
Plate Trail, Inc. Report: (Bill Click) The Nickel Plate group will be
incorporated under the name of Nickel Plate Trail, Incorporated. The
Nickel Plate Trial is currently working on the organizations bylaws. Work
was done at Walick Road and the next NPT meeting will be the 28th at Bunkerhill.
One of the next things to happen will be a membership drive. Miles
Straly presented the NPT to the Fulton County commissioners. The
commissioners were receptive, however there were some negative comments from the
audience. MEMBERSHIP
