Plate Trail, Inc. Report:
(Mike Kuepper) Of course, there are many editorials being sent in the local
papers about the trail. All club
members are encouraged to send in a letter to the Editor.
It was asked that letters not attack any individuals and keep on the
positive of the trail. Work
has been progressing in a stretch between Lover's Lane and 400.
This area is close. Mike Kuepper will be speaking with the Kokomo Rotary. They are very interested in raising money for the trail. They would be a very good sponsor for the trailhead near Kokomo. Membership Renewals & New Member Report:
(0) - NEW MEMBERS; (0) – RENEWALS. There
are no new members or renewals to report. Letters
with a 2004 membership renewal form will be sent out soon. End Of The Year Dinner:
There was a discussion of having a dinner at the Peru Civic Center after the 1st
of the year, however we may move that back farther and make this more of an
event for “kicking off” the riding season in the spring.
It was discussed that maybe a cookout or some kind of meal at the depot
in Peru in March or April. Other Business: Relay For Life: The club is being asked to consider riding a
stationary bike for the Relay For Life, which will be in the spring of 2004.
We would need to setup riders to ride for certain time intervals during
the event. We would get people to sponsor us for an amount of money for
each hour we ride. This Item will
be placed on next month’s agenda.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:25PM, motion by Mike Kuepper, and second by Chris Betzner. Submitted by: Mike Donaldson Secretary
