2004 Metric Century: (Chris Betzner) We are looking
in to the normal sponsors for this year. Also looking for any new sponsors
that may be available.
Dick Schaffhausen will be handling the shirts again this
year.
We may also check with Logansport Calligan as an alternate
for our bottled water supplier.
2004 Ride Schedule: Our ride schedule will run the same
as last year. Thursdays at Miami Fort in Peru at 5:00PM, Saturdays at
Breakaway Bike & Fitness Shop in Peru at 9:00AM, and Sundays at Owens
Marathon in Mexico at 2:00PM. We anticipate our first official rides to be
Saturday, April the 3rd and Sunday April the 4th.
Nickel Plate Trail, Inc. Report: (Miles Straly) All the
T-Grant paperwork has been turned filed. It will be the winter of 2004 before
anything is known about rather the trail will receive any funds. They are
checking into the possibility of a $10,000 grant from Bikes Belong and other
organizations.
The Nickel Plate Trail, Inc has received its not-for-profit
status from the IRS.
Color brochures will be sent out soon to kick off the
membership drive.
Relay For Life: We will be setting up riders to raise
money for the Relay for Life. Dates are June the 18th through the
19th.
New Season Kick-off: We will be riding to Rochester on
March the 27th as our primary date with April the 3rd as
our fall back date. We will meet at Miami Fort in Peru and start at 10:00 AM.
This will give us an approximate sixty-mile ride. Rich Holler will be our ride
leader and we will have lunch at the Streamliner. If anyone is unable to ride
the total distance we would invite them to ride up and have lunch with us and
have someone pick them up at the Streamliner or meet us there for lunch and
ride back to Peru with us.
Xenia Ride: Bill will be looking into setting up a ride
in Ohio on the Xenia trail. Dates to be July 17th & 18th.

Currently the club is about 41% renewed based on last year’s membership
numbers. This is behind by about 10% from last year at this time.
