Monthly Minutes of the Circus City Cyclists

 

Place:  First Christian Church, Peru

Time:  7:30PM, March 9th

Leader:  Chris Betzner, Treasurer

Officers Present: (3) Rich Holler, Chris Betzner and Mike Donaldson

Absent: Miles Straly

Meeting Minutes:  Minutes from February meeting were submitted and approved.

Treasury Report:  Report from February was submitted and approved.

Communications: Habitat for Humanity Ride Information, Apple Cider Century 2004 Information Packet, IBC Newsletter, Break-away Bike Club, and IBC Renewal Letter.

Discussion: 

2004 Metric Century: (Chris Betzner) The Circus Hall of Fame will be July 17th through August the 7th

Will work on having the brochure for the metric finished in the next few weeks.

Habitat For Humanity: Si Iato Si (sorry about the spelling) is looking to sponsor a rider for this ride. Miles will be doing this. Motion was by Chris Betzner and second by Mike Donaldson. The club will contribute an undetermined amount to help will this ride.

Nickel Plate Trail, Inc. Report: No Report

Relay For Life: Need to makeup a schedule for this event to signup riders.

New Season Kick-off: We will be riding to Rochester on March the 27th as our primary date with April the 3rd as our fall back date. We will meet at Miami Fort in Peru and start at 10:00 AM. This will give us an approximate sixty-mile ride. Rich Holler will be our ride leader and we will have lunch at the Streamliner. If anyone is unable to ride the total distance we would invite them to ride up and have lunch with us and have someone pick them up at the Streamliner or meet us there for lunch and ride back to Peru with us.

Xenia Ride: No Report

Membership Renewals & New Member Report: (4) – RENEWAL: Greg Heins, Jeff Laycock, David Mann, and Dick Schaffhausen; (0) – NEW MEMBERSHIPS. Currently the club is about 50% renewed based on last year’s membership numbers.

 

Other Business: 

Bike Rodeo: This years Bike Rodeo will be held May the 8th. Helmets are on order for this year’s event. The club gave $300.00 last year. Discussion will be set on our next meetings agenda.
