Memberships (Miles):  If anyone has the correct e-mail addresses for any of the following please e-mail to John Miller compressorman@comcast.net.   Bill and Cathy Click, John Savage, Jeff Suire, Mike Mullett, or Dean and Peggy Owens.  John will attempt to change the club meeting time that is listed on our membership form to the correct time.

Nickel Plate Trail: The trail has been paved from Wallick Road south to 500S. GRAND OPENING!  Scheduled for Friday, June 9 (the day before the Metric Century) at 8:30 or 9:00 AM.

Other Business:

Miami County Kids’ Fair:  The club will again be a helmet sponsor for $350 as in years past.  The Peru YMCA is the major sponsor along with State Farm Insurance and others.  The date for the Kids’ Fair is this Saturday, May 6 from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM at the Miami County 4H fair grounds.  There will be a free helmet for each child, bicycle safety training (I think that is limited to the kids Mike Donaldson), bicycle giveaways, bicycle safety checks, BMX bike trick riders and lots of fun for the kids.  Chris has been in contact with his helpers but would like to encourage people to promote it so as many kids as possible can be there.

2006 Ride Schedule:  Our club rides are under way.  They are Saturdays at 8:00 AM at Breakaway Bike Shop.  The new start time for the Sunday ride will be 2 p.m. at Owen’s Marathon in Denver .  The Thursday ride will leave from Miami ’s Fort at 5:00 PM.  Rich will forward club miles for all club rides to Mike Donaldson for inclusion on the website.  All other ride leaders should leave their club miles in our box at the bike shop for Rich to pick up.  If you haven’t been out yet this year it would be great if you could make it soon.

The meeting concluded less than an hour later.  The next club meeting will be Thursday, May 11 at 7:30 p.m.

Bike!

John Miller

Secretary
