Monthly Minutes of the Circus City Cyclists
Date:
Thursday, September 21, 2006 Attendance:
Miles
Straly, Bill Click, Wally Woodhams, Rich Holler, and John Miller. Secretary’s
Report (John):
No minutes from last meeting. Treasurer’s
Report:
None. Miami
County Trail:
Miles
and John to contact the local historical society, Chamber of Commerce and
Tourism Bureau regarding establishing a Miami County Trail.
It would be similar to the Wabash County Trail. Biker’s
Log at Denver Café:
Bill Click mentioned that the Denver Café has a biker’s log that has
been signed with comments from cyclists as they trek thru Denver on the
Discovery Trail that originally was the Bikecentennial Trail.
He has given a copy to the Peru Tribune so it may be published in the
local paper. Metric
Century: Since
no one stepped forward to organize our Metric Century for 2007, motion was made
by John and seconded by Bill that next year will be a non-supported ride only on
the second Saturday of June. Hilly
Hundred:
Rich, John, John’s son Daniel, Sharon Johnston along with Miles enjoyed
camping at Mile’s sisters during this year’s Hilly.
Other locals included Rochelle Boyer and sister Michelle and others.
It was great weather and the CIBA group put on a best yet in my opinion
for another memorable bicycle ride in October.
Hope you can make it next year. Fat
Tire Ride:
Let’s get that
mountain bike out!
Our regular scheduled ride for this Saturday, October 21 will be a road
trip to Winona Lake to ride on the dirt trails at The Boys’ Club.
It is 10 miles of fun on the dirt.
We will meet at Miami’s Fort at 8:00 AM and drive to Warsaw.
Even Roadie Rich Holler is going to give it a go.
Miles might too if he can figure out how to pump up fat tires.
If you have any questions, just send e-mail back to me at compressorman@comcast.net. Slate of Officers:
The next club meeting will be Thursday, October 19 at 7:30 p.m.
We will be nominating officers so we hope to see you there. John
Miller Secretary
